About Me
I am a queer Tennessean with a passion for amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices and stories. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, I found myself attending Austin Peay State University beginning in 2021. I am currently pursuing my BA in English, and plan to pursue my MA in English as well.
My work ranges from the deeply personal to the fantastical, covering genres such as fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. I am always pushing myself to experiment and grow as a writer, seeking out new inspiration from the wonderful people around me and the world at large.
I enjoy reading anything I can get my hands on, but right now I'm focused on building a repertoire of work I consider essential. This includes works by classics such as Homer, Aristotle, J.R.R. Tolkien, Kate Chopin, and more. It also includes more contemporary authors such as bell hooks, Toni Morrison, Bonnie Joe Campbell, Madeline Miller, Aiden Thomas, and more.
I have a cat named Allie who is 11 years old this year. She has been my close buddy through thick and thin, supporting my work by always stepping on my keyboard.
